  Sam is a very professional and caring trainer, and helped me to understand the importance of being consistent and patient when working with changing a dog's behavior especially that of a rescued dog that has been victim to negative behaviors including neglect or abuse. I was pleased to see that he did not use negative reinforcement or harsh techniques that would traumatize dogs more. I remember him telling me that a dog has to have "six months of being happy" in every way so that we could see changes with the techniques he recommended. Therefore, if you need a knowledgeable, compassionate trainer who will be honest in telling you the changes that you have to make to help your dog, Sam is the person to call!
