  I was a former student at Gilbert El. It is a amazing place with amazing and wonderful staff. I first moved there in November 2012, I really didn't know what to do....I was only in 2nd grade. The wonderful staff helped me settle down after that, Idk if they could handle me cuz I was a hyper and wild kid getting in trouble a lot.......We also do many fun activities over the years, In 3rd grade (Was my FAVORITE year at Gilbert El.) there came out with new programs and we became a LEADER IN ME SCHOOL..... Gilbert El is one of the only schools in Arizona to be reconized and used for the 7 habits..... Back then, I loved P.E, the P.E teacher is so nice and motivates everybody to be successful. I was a little stubborn but everything worked out in the end. In forth grade, I had a really great wonderful teacher..... all of the 4th grade staff team are amazing just like the other grade levels. She even helped me when some kids on the playground were bullying me. We made salt dough Arizona maps, we made flashlights out of batteries, and at the very end of the year we did roller coasters. My team which had most of my friends in it, we would all goof around all the time so our project was kinda a failure.....In 5th grade my teacher motivated me to do this wonderful program at the school called Zumba. Its a AMAZING program were we get to have fun and dance.....there were a bunch of kids in there while I was a 5th grader in the 2015-2016 school year. Trust me, if your reading this review and you go to Gilbert Elementary, DO ZUMBA! its amazing! In 5th grade we did pizza box solar ovens and my class also did go karts that year in January 2016. They also have this really cool program called DUEL LANGUAGE were kids do cool stuff like preforming in the cafeteria on Cinco De mayo. In 6th grade in the 2016-2017 school year was pretty huge for me. We did the coolest projects ever. We did rockets that year in January 2017.....one of them exploded! At the end of the year we went to a place called Science camp. I should have enjoyed it way more because I was sad and miserable because 1. I got a hair cut that was really ugly and 2. I was super negitive, people got so annoyed of it even the person below this comment got sick of it. She kind of helped me get rid of my negitiveness. So anyways in 6th grade I also had my first crush, she's a cute / beutiful kid who is kind to everyone. I should of been alot nicer to her in 6th grade. I did apologize later......on the last day of school ( I hope she doesn't read this or she might get mad) I was supposed to go to Mesquite Jr. High with everyone else but I went to Greenfield Jr. High instead.But overall Gilbert El. was the BEST School Ever.
